This Privacy Policy describes how PlusZeros ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and discloses information when you interact with our payment-processing platform, including our retail checkout (PlusZeros) and cash-advance (TellrPay) services. By using our services, you agree to the practices described here.
Information We Collect
We collect information that you or our merchant clients provide, including:
- Identification data: name, email address, postal address, phone number.
- Payment data: payment-card details, bank-account information, billing address. Cardholder data is processed in compliance with PCI DSS and is not stored in cleartext on our servers.
- Transaction data: amount, date/time, merchant, response codes, fraud signals.
- Account data: login credentials, MFA settings, role assignments, notification preferences.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, log data, authentication events.
How We Use Information
- To process payment transactions and provide receipts, invoices, and other transaction-related communications.
- To authenticate users, enforce security controls, and prevent fraud.
- To comply with legal, regulatory, and card-network requirements (including but not limited to PCI DSS, KYC/AML rules, and chargeback dispute procedures).
- To operate, maintain, and improve our services.
- To send service-related communications, including SMS as described below.
SMS / Text Messaging
If you provide a mobile phone number — directly through one of our web forms or indirectly through a merchant on whose behalf we send transaction-related messages — you may receive transactional SMS messages. These messages may include payment receipts, invoice delivery and payment links, past-due invoice reminders, magic-link sign-in codes for the customer portal, scheduled-charge confirmations, and operational alerts to merchant administrators (login, security, batch, and processor events).
Message frequency varies based on your activity and account preferences. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out of SMS at any time by replying STOP to any message; reply HELP for help.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information collected as part of SMS opt-in — including phone numbers and message-history data — is used solely to deliver and operate the SMS service and is not sold, rented, or shared with third parties for their own marketing or promotional use. All other categories of opt-in data (email addresses, postal addresses, etc.) remain subject to the policies described elsewhere in this Privacy Policy.
How We Share Information
We share information only as needed to operate the service:
- With merchants on whose behalf a transaction is processed, and with the cardholder or bank-account holder involved in the transaction.
- With service providers that help us deliver the service (card networks, payment processors, communication providers such as Twilio and Amazon SES, cloud infrastructure, fraud screening). These providers are contractually limited to using information only to perform the services they provide to us.
- When required by law, regulation, subpoena, or other legal process; to enforce our terms; or to protect our rights, property, or safety, or that of others.
- In connection with a corporate transaction (merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets), subject to commercially reasonable confidentiality safeguards.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share mobile information with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes.
Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide our services, comply with legal obligations (including financial-records retention and dispute windows), resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Cardholder data retention follows PCI DSS requirements.
Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit and at rest, multi-factor authentication for administrative access, and continuous monitoring. No method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Choices
